Before releasing this RASA CINTAKU album, MAYANGSARI was known as one of the major singers in ‘malaysian’ slow rock genre, partly because the success of her duet with DEDDY Dores. But through this album, Mayang seem to want to change the way her sing to more pop, in other words such as go to 'first class' singer. So musicians such as DEWA BUJANA with his group GIGI, RYAN KYOTO, DONNY SUHENDRA, BUDI BIDHUN even INDRA LESMANA had worked on together in this album. The result is different from what she has been doing in her previous albums. Not in terms of songs and music that changed, Mayang’s appearance also changed. If previously identified with long black hair and look girly, then in this album Mayang appear with short hair, plus the writing on the cover only the name MAYANG without SARI. It's just that, to make the old fans of Mayang not surprised with her change, the first single of this album was selected too not so far from the previous Mayang songs. These tips were helpful. The album was very well received in the market. Even the next Mayang's albums were always similar with RASA CINTAKU. The other hits of this album are ADA RINDU and HARUSKAH KUBIARKAN.
