From the 'dynasty' of SONETA GROUP, which became the biggest dangdut group in Indonesia throughout the ages, there was SONETA GIRL, formed by VERONICA (ex-wife of RHOMA IRAMA). This group was quite popular in the 80s but then disappeared after Rhoma and Vero divorced. In the 2000s, SONETA FEMINA appeared, which was actually the backing vocal of SONETA GROUP. At that time the personnel were IRA SWARA, DEWI WIDYASARI, ARI PANDANWANGI and LIA. Their presence on music stages accompanying Soneta with their distinctive choreography apparently attracted the interest of producers to bring them into the recording industry. The initial concept of their recording was to perform Soneta Group's hits, but after the recording was completed and played to Rhoma Irama, Rhoma was not happy with the results. Finally, the label changed the concept of the album by recording a full of new songs. CATATAN DUSTA was finally chosen as the title track, composed by SOLID AG and music by ALIEK ABABIEL. The song's catholicity and their unique interpretation made CATATAN DUSTA a hit with dangdut music lovers. It was a good start and they actually have the potential to become a vocal group that is fairly rare in the dangdut genre. Unfortunately, their formation as backing vocals didn't seem to be prepared to be a separate vocal group. This was their first and last album to date. Meanwhile, IRA SWARA, one of the most prominent personnel of this group, later chose to leave the group and succeeded as a solo singer.

Starting from a magazine model, PRILLY PRISCILLA successfully entered the music industry and was recruited by JK RECORDS. Prilly joined this label at a time when the melancholic pop genre that characterizes JK has begun to be unpopular, so it is not surprising that the genre carried by Prilly also adapts to the prevailing music trends. In her debut album KEKASIH, which was supported by 6 JK ARTISTS, Prilly still sings PANCE's works which are identical to melancholic songs, but the material and arrangements have shifted from JK's typical music. Besides making a name for herself through TRIO CERIWIS with HANNA PERTIWI and RENNY CECILIA, Prilly is also quite productive in releasing solo projects, such as this AKU INGIN BAHAGIA album released in 1994. The names behind the scenes are certainly different from JK's regular musicians during his heyday. BUDI BHIDUN and LEONARD KRISTIANTO worked on the music, while names like DADANG S. MANAF, SAM BOBO, SONNY SOEBOWO, AGUS HENDRAJAYA or ARIS RAHADI supplied the songs. The song AKU INGIN BAHAGIA, written by DADANG S. MANAF with JUDHI KRISTIANTHO, tries to explore Prilly's potential, which turns out to be quite suitable for this kind of songs. Quite easy listening, but unfortunately unable to penetrate the market competition which at that time was very tight.

LOG ZHELEBOUR is known as a cold-handed producer in the rock genre who has succeeded in launching many names in the Indonesian music industry such as MEL SHANDY, JAMRUD, BOOMERANG, POWER METAL, ELPAMAS, and even managed to re-launch GOD BLESS which has been on hiatus for a long time. Meanwhile, NICKY ASTRIA is Indonesia's leading lady rocker who has survived several decades with a series of hit albums and sales of millions of copies. What if those two forces are put together? KE MANA? is their collaboration that tries to answer various questions about a dream project that was originally just 'wishful thinking' of rock music lovers. In this album, Nicky is directed by Log to get out of her comfort zone. Usually Nicky is handled by IAN ANTONO or YOUNKY SOEWARNO, and it is proven that both names have successfully combined chemistry with Nicky's character. This time, Log enlisted AZIS MS from JAMRUD, JOCKIE SURYOPRAYOGO and POWER METAL to arrange the music. The song supply, apart from Jockie and Azis, was also mostly written by ENCUNK HARYADI a.k.a. GOLDEN BOY. They certainly did a good job in providing the right songs and music for Nicky. Log also seemed to be on fire for this album. 4 music videos were made for promotional purposes. Starting with SELAMAT TINGGAL by Azis was chosen as the main single, followed by YOU AND ME, KEHILANGAN and KEJUJURAN. 4 songs that are quite catchy and potential hits. Log's ears have certainly been 'honed' for this business. But unfortunately this album did not manage to speak in the market, even the 4 singles released did not succeed in becoming hits.

BANGUN SUGITO a.k.a. GITO ROLLIES is one of the Indonesian singers with a very strong character. Any song he sings will certainly become 'his', even for songs that were previously performed by singers whose characters are also very strong. As seen in this BEST SELLER 2 album. BEST SELLER here does not only mean Gito's own songs that reached high sales, but also Best Seller songs from other singers that are sung again by Gito. In the first album series, Gito successfully put forward IKANG FAWZI's PERMATA HITAM to become a hit again. In this second series of albums, Ikang's song AIR API is again put forward by Gito. And of course, the song that has been very attached to Ikang's image was successfully interpreted in his own style and managed to steal the attention of the market. Because of Gito's strong character, many people are confused and think that Gito is the original singer of AIR API. PMR - Bibir Kuda

Although they have been active in the music industry since the late 70s, people only recognized the name of the group PENGANTAR MINUM RACUN (PMR) when they released the album JUDUL-JUDULAN in 1987. The group's positioning was very strong. From the name of the group, the names of the personnel made unusual, plus the choice of songs that portray social phenomena but are presented comically with comedic colors. Successful with JUDUL-JUDULAN, they repeated with the album ASTAGA which parodied BILL & BROD's famous song. In their next album BIBIR KUDA, they again relied on songs by KUNTET MANGKULANGIT, such as the song JUDUL-JUDULAN which brought them to the front row. BIBIR KUDA is also still thick with lyrics about social phenomena wrapped in PMR's signature 'orkes dangdut' arrangement. However, BIBIR KUDA did not manage to surpass the success of the previous two albums, even though the songs were quite successful in becoming hits. However, PMR was still established and quite productive in releasing albums until they went on hiatus from 1995 to 2015. They made a comeback in 2015 and quite successfully attracted the attention of the current generation.

After successfully re-orbiting RACHMAT KARTOLO with the album PATAH HATI and SENGSARA which became hits again, JK RECORDS tries to put forward the figure of DJADJAT KOESOEMAHDINATA who in the early 70s skyrocketed through the band PARAMOUR. Djadjat came back alone without the Paramour group, which was already inactive, but the name of the group that catapulted his name was still used as a stage name, so that on the cover of the KARENA DIA (BECAUSE OF HER) album cassette the name DJADJAT PARAMOR was written, for some reason the letter U was omitted. Djadjat himself at that time was better known as the Chairman of HAPMI (Association of Indonesian Music Singing Artists) in Bandung, as well as the Chairman of Pencak Silat TAJIMALELA. Supported by HENGKY FIRMANSYAH as the music director, Djadjat performed with JK's signature songs that were currently dominating the market. KARENA DIA was quite catchy and should have been able to talk a lot in the market considering JK Records' reputation at the time. But unfortunately, this album was not able to steal the market's attention. Even though in this album Djadjat also brought back Paramour's old hits, namely DURI PENGHALANG and DI PERANTAUAN. Maybe just because of the lack of success of this album, this was Djadjat's only album under the JK Records label.

In the dangdut music industry, rarely did appear female composer who was able to produce hit songs. One of the few was RITA SUGIARTO. First arising as a singer, Rita proved her skills as a songwriter when her song JACKY became a big hits. Although it was considered a fluke, but then Rita proved that she was worth mentioning as dangdut hits maker. JACKY's success was repeated when Rita released her 1989 album called ZAENAL. A catchy song with a condensed dangdut arrangement made ZAENAL quickly shoot out and well sold in the market. There were many hits on this album besides Zaenal, including SENDIRI (ALONE), MATI LAMPU (BLACKOUT) and ACUH TAK ACUH (INDIFFERENT). These songs are still frequently sung on stages by other dangdut singers throughout Indonesia. Arguably, this is one of Rita's best albums.
